In the article “Space probe detects a planet with a double sunset” the author talks about a new planet. The planet’s is name Kepler-16b and every day ends with a double sunset there. Scientists found this interesting because they have seen this before but Kepler’s observations were the first to confirm this double sun thing. Scientist are also surprised about the gravitational pull on the two stars. It is very weak for a planet orbiting two stars instead of one. I think this should be looked into more.
The Jupiter sized gas giant has Kepler-16b is very interesting.  I wonder what it would be like to live on a planet with two suns. Would the seasons be longer and more extreme? Or would there be no seasons at all, is it always sunny or most importantly is there any life on this planet? Kepler is a gas planet so if you approached it you would either burn or kind of fall right through it. It also orbits its two suns about every 229 days which is like Venus’s orbit. I think we should study this planet more and look into more but that be hard when it is 200 light years away from earth. Even though this planet does not have any life on it Kepler’s search for habitable planets are not finished.
