Shakespeare had some great pieces of writing
including poetry like sonnets, like one of his most famous sonnet number 138.
Another famous book/ play I have known since kindergarten or pre-k Romeo and
Juliet written in the year 1593 (about) and published in 1597.
I have always wondered what Romeo and
Juliet besides a story about “star crossed lovers”. Basically it’s about (so far)
Romeo and Juliet are both looking for love at a party until they find each other.
Then they realize their families are in a fight so they secretly get married. After
that Mercutio and Tybalt get into a fight then Romeo tries to break it up
getting Mercutio injured. Then he gets mad at Tybalt and eventually kills him.
Later the king finds out and banishes him from Verona. He is devastated and so
is Juliet because she lost 3 people. Mercutio and Tybalt dead, and Romeo banned.
I personally think Romeo was trying to be a hero but he got his temper up and
made a wrong situation.
Romeo was thinking that since he got
married to the girl of his dreams he felt superior and invincible, so that he
could do anything. That was proved wrong by trying to be a hero and then
getting someone killed then killing someone else and then getting banished.
Truthfully I know how he felt at those moments. When your confidence is out of
the roof and you can’t help but think you are “the boss man/women (in other cases).
I also think that overall that was a bad decision for Romeo to make that move
though.
At that moment Romeo’s mind and heart
were definitely racing to make the choice he made. Also it probably was that he
was mad about Mercutio. Lastly Romeo should have been thinking before those
events, and he could have realized the consequences awaiting him.
