Romeo And Juliet Essay 1st

Some people can’t not be together they would rather die than not be without each other. This was showed in the play Romeo and Juliet written by Shakespeare and published in 1597. Romeo and Juliet are two young lovers that are forbidden to be together. There is a family feud between the Montague’s and Capulet’s so Romeo and Juliet are forbidden to be together. This does not stop the two young lovers; they sneak around, risk their lives, and end up dying at the end. Basically forbidden love affects the characters because they need to live their lives differently.
The forbidden love obviously affects Romeo he was sneaking around to be with Juliet. In act 2 scene 2 a quick summary is that Romeo meets Juliet on the balcony at her house and they talk. To do that he had to sneak for instance, Juliet says; “How camest thou hither, tell me, and wherefore? The orchard walls are high and hard to climb, and the place death, considering who thou art, if any of my kinsmen find thee here”. Even Juliet knew that was wrong, she said that the walls are hard to climb they are very tall, and if the kinsmen will kill you if they see you. This state’s how forbidden love affects both of them.
Romeo and Juliet were so in love that they wanted to get married. Nobody could know about this but the person that had to marry them, Friar Lawrence. The forbidden love affects them is this situation because he had to marry Romeo and Juliet secretly and quick to nobody would find out. Despite Friar Lawrence marrying them he was still confused about them being together. First Romeo says he was with the enemy, the Capulet, Juliet. Then the Friar says,” Be plain, good son, and homely in thy drift; Riddling confession finds but riddling shrift”. He does not understand that Romeo was with Juliet and not Rosaline. So he asked that question. This also shows how forbidden love affects them.
Lastly, forbidden love affects them majorly, enough to kill them. They both of them committed suicide at the end of the story. They killed themselves because they couldn’t be together. So the only answer for this problem would be to kill them. At the end Juliet was supposed to wake up from a long sleep. Romeo checked on her and she wasn’t awake so he kills himself, Juliet wakes up and then kills herself. That is how forbidden love affects both characters at the end of the story.
All in all the couple only lasted four days after a tragic ending. This can relate to the real world because couples don’t have family grudges, but grudges against themselves. So instead of killing themselves and their wife or husband, their families. This is a very harsh action to do but at least there are consequences for this. People should learn to sense trouble before it happens and think about what you say before you do it.
