How does money figure in this text?
I just finished reading Hunger Games, book number one. Katniss and Peeta both succeed in the 74th annual Hunger Games. They fought through harsh conditions, alliances, and friends dyeing. Before the games when Katnis’s sister got chosen and she volunteered, then Peeta got chosen she had a flash back. The flash back was when her father just died in a mine and they were poor. Then Peeta gave her burned bread from his parent’s bakery. This relates to money because Katniss is poor.
When Katniss got the bread was hunting for food like rabbits or a deer with her bow and arrow. She just happens to pass by the bakery when Peeta’s mom was trying to teach him how to make bread when he burned it when Peeta’s mom was trying to teach him how to make bread when he burned it. Then his mom said go feed it to the pigs but he gave it to her. Money plays a role this because Katniss’ mom couldn’t’ afford a way to feed her daughters. They have to hunt or get lucky and get it free from a restaurant
In conclusion the book Hunger Games does have some problems that relates to the real world including money. I do hope that no one in the real world does have to go through this because it is harsh and hard to do.
